In a Monochromatic Cinch

Well, I think it’s about that time for another fashion post, how ’bout you? I’ve had this outfit picked out for quite sometime and have been super eager to show you guys this look but just haven’t had the time to actually go shoot it! Luckily for me I had a couple days off and was able to get out and hit the country road. I’ve been obsessed with “Stranger Things” on Netflix and was feeling the vibe from that show.  While driving through, I found this cool house in the middle of town and knew it was the backdrop that echoed the show’s mood that I was looking for.

Alright so back to the fashion part, as many of you may know, I’m a fan of Yeezy’s clothing line. I’ve been inspired by his monochromatic fashion approach that he’s been doing since he started designing for Adidas. I put together this look by using neutral tones. Another big thing Kanye is known for is layering. So I layered it starting with a sweater by Helmut Lang from Nordstrom (which I am totally obsessed with since I can layer it with absolutely anything!) and a t-shirt from Forever21 I added the corset belt that I found at a thrift store! I then paired the outfit with a beige pant from H&M. I had posted the espadrilles sandals prematurely on Instagram and was actually waiting till this blog post to show you but I couldn’t resist.

I got these cute sandals from Winners. I absolutely love the bow motif and elevated platform making it current and on trend. I can’t wait to pair them with all of my summer outfits! These sandals were $80 CAN.

Here is a close up of the layering and accessories.

Another cool element to my long sleeved shirt is the ribbon detail on both sides. You can actually adjust the length of the sweater by pulling on the drawstring to shorten it if you want.

Side shot of the outfit. My bag is the Dionysus GG Supreme mini bag by Gucci, you can find it here http://gucci.com

One last photo of my “Stranger Things” house.

So try going monochromatic this spring, it is really easy to put together! Just stay within the colour schemes and add your own personal touches, whether it be a statement necklace or other pieces like I did with the corset belt and ribbon shoes! I would love to see what you come up with! Tag me in your looks on Instagram using my handle @theblondeparfait

Thanks for stopping by loves…xoxo
