About The Blonde Parfait

The Blonde Parfait started as an Instagram feed in 2016. Jerrie was inspired by international bloggers such as Song of Style and WeWoreWhat.  She was impressed by the style, culture and visual content from said profiles that she wanted to document, through her eyes, what fashion, beauty and lifestyle meant to her.

At a very young age, she remembers the first time she was introduced to the fashion world. “It was the early 90s on a Saturday or Sunday morning, when kids were watching their regular morning cartoons, which I was never a big fan of as a kid, I had come across Fashion File with Tim Blanks and was so intrigued by the runway shows from Calvin Klein to Dior, that I knew right then, fashion reared its stylish head.” She would later beg her mother and father to buy the latest issues of Vogue every month until they finally caved and bought a subscription. “One issue to this day still sticks out to me, it was a spring cover of Gwyneth Paltrow maybe from the late 90s, she looked like a modern Grace Kelly, so poised and utterly chic.”

As her Instagram posts generated more growth, so did her following. Jerrie knew she had to raise the ante and deliver more content and what better way to start up her blog, The Blonde Parfait. “Just like the delicious treat, a parfait encompasses distinct layers that help create the beautiful dessert, The Blonde Parfait encapsulates all those different layers that make us who we are as a whole. I’ve included, fashion, beauty and lifestyle as the three layer components that make us unique in our own way. My main goal at The Blonde Parfait is to help inspire the audience who comes to visit us–something they can add to their already beautiful parfait glass.”

Jerrie is excited to share her take on the world, “I want The Blonde Parfait to be an interactive experience where I can connect with my audience on a personal level. Bringing good content to the reader is highly important, undoubtedly there will be trial and error in its beginning stages, but at the end of the day, all I want is for my audience enlightened with what I see in my parfait glass as important and of course, fashionable.”
