Nowadays, social media can either make you or break you. What I’ve noticed having been on Instagram for over 5 years, is that your smile really does affect your follower growth and engagement. So I gathered for you today 4 tips to achieve “Instagram Status” with Smile Brilliant!

(1) One thing I’ve learned is that hashtags go a long way. When you post a picture showing off your beautiful smile, always make sure to use popular tags to get noticed. For instance, what I like using are some of these tags #smilebrilliant #smilefearlessly #beautifulsmile #whiteteeth #smile #teethwhitening. This will drive more people to your account and increase engagement.

(2) Always make sure to have optimum quality photos! I cant stress this one enough you guys! If your pictures are taken in low grade lighting, they won’t do as well or receive many likes. Another tip is do not use filters on your selfies, this will change the colour of your teeth and may even yellow them more!

So you will receive your base paste & catalyst for both your top and bottom teeth and an extra one just in case you need it. The kit includes instruction booklets on how to carefully make them. The process is so easy that anyone can do it. You just have to make sure to combine both the paste and catalyst until you no longer see any white streaks and place the putty in your tray as soon as you can. A hardening process begins and mixing too long after white streaks vanish will result in the material hardening before you make your impressions. Now you can start with either top or bottom but make sure to press evenly into teeth with fingers, do not bite and hold in place for 3 minutes. Whats really cool is that if you’re unsure about your impressions and if you got it right, you can send a picture with your impressions to their support team to verify it before sending them out. Once your impressions are up to par all you do is mail them with the envelope provided and voila! Now just sit back and relax and wait for your custom-fitted trays arrive to you in the mail!

So when you received your kit in the beginning, they provided whitening and desensitizing gel already in the box for you. Now you can begin your whitening journey as soon as you get your trays in the mail. Make sure to start with shorter applications and gradually increase if you experience little to no sensitivity. Apply a thin steady ribbon of gel along front outer surface of trays–adding too much gel in trays may increase tooth sensitivity and gum irritation. I made the mistake at the beginning of doing this and I had some slight burning on my gums but it automatically went away when I applied the desensitizing gel, again this only happened once and not throughout my whitening journey. You can leave your trays in for up to 3 hours and the coolest part is that you can do almost anything while you whiten!! I went to the gym (as seen on my instastories), to the grocery store and out walking my dog. The beauty of SB is that you’re actually getting the same results sitting in a dentist chair as you are at home watching Netflix. I’ll take comfort over a visit to the dentist office any day of the week!

Once you’re done whitening, make sure to run them under cool water and to brush your teeth to get the gel off completely, then if you need to apply your desensitizing gel do so now (again I only had to use it once but as I recently discovered, sensitivity or not, its best to practice using the gel as it helps lock in hydration because the whitening process can actually dehydrate your enamel.)
